EDC Award Winners

EDC Award winners will be recognized in two categories during the 2017 EDC Conference.

Distinguished Educational Developer Career Award

The Educational Developers Caucus is delighted to introduce the inaugural recipients of the Distinguished Educational Developer Career Awards.

  • Eileen Herteis, Purdy Crawford Teaching Centre, Mount Allison University
  • Jeanette McDonald, Centre for Teaching Innovation and Excellence, Laurier University
  • Nicola Simmons, Faculty of Education, Brock University

Established in 2016, the Distinguished Educational Developer Career Award is sponsored by the Educational Developers Caucus. Together with the Educational Developer Leadership Award, these awards are the only recognition in Canada for excellence in educational development. The Distinguished Educational Developer Career Award recognizes individuals for their contributions and leadership in educational development at the local, provincial and national levels.

Educational Developer Leadership Award

The Educational Developers Caucus is delighted to introduce the inaugural recipients of the Educational Developer Leadership Award.

  • Carolyn Hoessler, Gwenna Moss Centre for Teaching Effectiveness, University of Saskatchewan
  • Cynthia Korpan, Learning and Teaching Centre, University of Victoria

Established in 2016, the Educational Developer Leadership Award is sponsored by the Educational Developers Caucus. Together with the Distinguished Educational Developer Career Award, these awards are the only recognition in Canada for excellence in educational development. The Educational Developer Leadership Award recognizes individuals for a specific contribution to the field of educational development in Canada.
